Eligibility Requirements

• Age Requirement:
  Must be 30 years or older at the time of application.
   
• Membership Fee:
  A one-time or annual membership fee (non-refundable) to support programming and operations.

• Commitment to Mental Health Advocacy:
  Must demonstrate a sincere interest in mental health awareness, emotional wellness, and breaking stigma.
   
• Willingness to Serve:
  Members should be ready to engage in community outreach, support initiatives, and participate in sorority-led programs or events.
   
• No Academic Affiliation Required:
  Our sorority is non-collegiate, so enrollment in a college or university is not necessary to join.
   
• Participation & Engagement:
  Must be willing to attend chapter meetings (virtual or in-person), contribute to discussions, and uphold the values of the organization.
   
• Positive Character & Integrity:
  Applicants should embody kindness, respect, confidentiality, and a spirit of unity.
   
• Application Process:
  Completion of a membership application, followed by a brief interview or orientation session.
   
• Verification Process:   
  Any application or submission containing false, misleading, or incomplete information will result in an automatic denial. Individuals who are denied due to false information must wait a minimum of six (6) months before reapplying NO EXCEPTIONS! We encourage all applicants to be truthful and transparent throughout the process to uphold the values of our esteemed sisterhood.

• Dual Membership:   
  We welcome members from all organizations, provided your membership status is verified, and your current organization permits dual membership. Your membership will be verified to ensure you are in good standing with no conduct issues, financial obligations, or other concerns.

Become A Virtual Member

A Virtual Soror is a fully initiated member of the sorority who actively participates in sorority life through digital platforms rather than in-person gatherings. This membership option is designed to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for sorors who may be located in different regions, have professional or personal obligations, or are otherwise unable to attend physical events regularly.

Eligibility Requirements will remain the same for membership application process.

Why We Don’t Hold Interest Meetings
 

At Gamma Alpha Phi Nu Sorority Inc., we do not host traditional interest meetings. As an organization founded on the principles of mental health, self-care, and intentional sisterhood, we believe the membership journey should be private, pressure-free, and rooted in emotional safety.
 

Instead of public forums, we offer personal outreach, digital resources, and meaningful one-on-one connections. This approach allows potential members to explore our sisterhood in a calm, supportive, and judgment-free space.
 

We lead with care, not crowds and that is intentional.
